What is best time to book a shoot?
To ensure we can secure your preferred date, I highly recommend booking your newborn photo session 1-2 months in advance. This allows us to tentatively schedule your session around your due date.
I understand that babies arrive on their own schedule! If your little one makes an early or late appearance, please don't worry. Simply contact me as soon as possible, and I will always do my very best to accommodate last-minute requests.
The perfect window for those classic, posed newborn portraits is when your baby is between 5 and 21 days old.
During this stage, babies typically sleep more deeply and are still very flexible from being in the womb, allowing us to gently achieve those curly, dreamy poses. As babies approach the one-month mark, they often become more alert and sensitive to handling, we highly recommend scheduling your session to take place within the first 21 days.
My approach is always baby-led, ensuring their comfort and well-being is the top priority throughout our session.

Where is your studio & Does it have parking?
We are based in HP12 3LP, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. We also got free parking. We will send you all information once booked.
Do you provide props or do we need to bring them?
We have a wide selection of newborn props. If you have any specific requests, please let me know ahead of time, and I'll do my best to accommodate them. You are welcome to bring props you wish to, please discuss before session so these can be used in the best way possible.
When will my photos be ready?
We strive for quick delivery, ensuring edited images are provided within a mere 2-3 weeks from the session date.
How long does the newborn photoshoot last?
A newborn photo shoot can last up to 2 hours, but it can extend to 3-4 hours depending on the package chosen.
Did you change from Mish V Photography to Newborn Photography by Val?
As my journey in photography evolved, I discovered my true passion was in the delicate art of newborn photography. The new name, Newborn Photography by Val, clearly communicates my specialisation and dedication to capturing the timeless beauty of new beginnings. While I loved my time at Mish V Photography, this rebrand allows me to fully focus on what I love most: creating heirlooms for growing families.
